Why you should not try to psycho-analyze your friends. Ever.

Friend: What's your favorite animal ever?
Me: Why?
Friend: Just tell me.
Me: But, seriously, why do you need to know this?
Friend: I'm going to show you a cool psychological trick- trust me!
Me: Fine, a lion.
Friend: Great. Why?
Me: They're brown and furry, love. love. love. the furriness. And the big fuzzy head of hair. Plus they're the ruler of the animal kingdom and they have this quiet calm, like they're so mafia. It's like you want to give them a hug even though you know if you did they'd eat you up and spit out the bones. I mean they're cats, but they can kill you. Awe-inspiring and frightening. What's the psychological twist to this?
Friend: Um, they did this study that. . . you know what, never mind.
Me: You have to tell me now!
Friend: The traits you assign your favorite animal are the traits you um, possess yourself.

Aisha: Furry. Fuzzy. Frightening. Hug at own risk.
Yep, that about covers it.

Psycho-analysis: #FAIL

Heheheeh. Too funny! A motto to live by, I say. "Furry, fuzzy, frightening."

Wow... now I am trying to think what my favourite animal is. I do like the tiger (but of course) but I also have a soft corner for monkeys... and I am a cat person.... hmm.

I support your friends study. You have all of the above traits. And I have witnessed the whole...eating-you-up-and-spitting-out-the-bones thing. Scary.

LOL!

Cute pic! :)

Susan, its how I'd want to be remembered, lol :)

Mezba, Tiger's not favorite?! Shocking!!

Aamina, you be quiet you. I'll be seeing you soon. Don't want to suffer the consequences do you??? >:< <-- That's my scary look.

Thanks Anon! If anyone is reading these comments, I was considering putting up a picture on the side bar so people know I'm who I am and not a man named Frank or something. You think I should go with this pic perhaps? Or aim higher?

Furry, fuzzy and fascinating sounds better to me.
BTW, lovely smile :) (MA)
Keep smiling.

OK i definitely clicked subscribe to this comment and nothing went to my gmail. That comment luv thing you installed, is it still there? Maybe it's messing it up. I saw some other posts on my reader too that isn't there on this blog.

Really? That's so weird. Intense debate is HORRID. They have great customer service and they tried to fix the problem but I had the same errors in my other blog too- stay away from anything like that. I hope that this isn't because of it. I checked my settings- everything appears as it should. Thanks for letting me know!

Very funny! Although, true confession: sad thing is I seek out these very same sort of quizzes on the Internet... fun perhaps, but maybe not to live by :)

You're gorgeous! ....please don't eat me!

This cracked me up! And I believe every word of the analysis :)

A friend of mine said his favorite animal is a chicken, because it's delicious. And that was pretty much true about him as well. :)

Aisha said...

Julia, yes, fun to think about but not to live by! lol. It was just funny because she then asked other people the same question, but they were all actually dead-on. Go figure :)

Awomanmyage, lol! Thank you, you're so sweet :)

Baraka, do you now???? Great. My cousin and one of my dearest friends concurs wholeheartedly with my unwitting self-appraisal. Ah well. LOL @ the chicken remark!

You're so MAFIA! Love it....

Need my rain check! :-) Let's reschedule...I'm not afraid of the lion.

katery said...

no! not furry and fuzzy! and lucky to have the privilege of being hugged by!! what a ridiculous way to analyze someone's personality. usually when i think of lions i think of strong and big hearted anyway, not necessarily furry and fuzzy.

Aisha said...

Murgdan, lol, yes this is getting ridiculous, our kids will be off to college at the rate we're going. Sniff. College. I'm not crying. It's allergies. Really. Will e-mail you but please e-mail me if my scatterbrained self forgets somehow!

Kate, lol, thanks :) And I totally should have said strong and big-hearted. D'oh :)

And that's a great pic - perfect for the sidebar.

And thanks for the comment about my kitties on my blog - I really appreciate hearing I'm not the only one who's had to do that!

Aisha said...

Banshee, lol glad you did :) Thanks for your input on the picture :) I'm sorry about your cats :( I can relate and its one of the most painful things I've done.

So funny! By the way, I wish I could hug a lion too - they just look hugable - but I am definitely deterred by their eat-you-up tendancies!

raisingbrainchild said...

Also, I don't know why it is, but when I comment on your blog from work, I always have to try to post my comment about three times before it actually works. I didn't have this problem at home...before my computer died, of course! This probably says something about the lack of security on my home computer!

Aisha said...

lol Raising, when I saw "Hang Over" I was jealous at the hangout they got to do with the Tiger- not a lion, but close enough I say! As for commenting- what happens? Does it eat your comment? Not let ou post it at all? And, is this a relatively recent thing or always happened? I installed a commenting system a few weeks back [you might recall a silly amount of RSS feeds about it showing up] and I've heard people are having some issues since. . .

I meant the graceful, adorablicious, huggable, fiercely loving parts of a lion. Though you *know* we Pakis are hairy, my mafia friend. We gotta just own it!

You look beautiful in the pic, btw!

Hugs! (Hope I don't get eaten ;)

Aisha said...

Yes. We must own the truth. I remember your post years back on the topic of desi manes. Ah well! :) Thanks for the sweet comment on the pic! :) No bites, only hugs for one of my favorite people ;)

iamstacey said...

bwahahaha!! totally cracks me up!

Hey Aisha...I think that it is a security issue. It always says that my credentials aren't recognized. I have to hit preview and then post several times, and then it works. It never did this on my home computer...just work.
