Folding laundry, my husband brings up a heavy package. Ordered more books? I didn't-- but gifts of the bookish sort would not be a shock for a bookworm like me. Still, no birthday on the horizon... I opened it up and......
My advance review copies. Not final. Subject to changes. But undeniably, unequivocally my book.**
Today, I got to hold my book in my hands.
I got to feel it's heft between my fingers.
I rifled through the pages and saw the copyright, the chapters---not glaring white on a screen or bound in a manuscript, but in its very own bookish form.
How does that feel?
It feels humbling, surreal, and you know what? It feels amazing! I'm sharing this because I know how many of you have been my support and I know some of you have told me that sharing my journey is inspiring you to begin or continue you're own. To those who have been so supportive, thank you!! And if you're still scared to write that first sentence: Go for it. Do it. Sometimes dreams come true.***
*Title may be subject to revision for more eloquence at a later date. Right now? Just. Happy.
